RAISING OUR LAND (EPISODE 9 (ALL WE DO IS WIN IN JESUS)
RAISING OUR LAND
“Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I
answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve
you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate
heritage…”(emphasis mine)
Isiah
49 vs 8 (Hebrew Names Version of The Holy Bible)
Welcome to today’s
episode.
I would like a hundred people or more to join me in praying this prayer, based on the scripture that says “And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. Lev 26:8” The enemies we need defeated in our lives presently are: the veil which may be over our eyes: as it prevents the light of God’s word to enlighten and be sown in our hearts; and those obstacles that prevent our hearts from being good soils. Our swords are our words of prayer.
Therefore, the prayer goes thus:
We pray that the
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto us the spirit
of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: that our minds may be opened
to see his light, so that we will know what is the hope to which he has called
us.
We also pray that God should by His Holy Spirit prepare our hearts by making it a good soil for the word of God which when planted in our hearts will grow and prosper and yield forth good fruits just as a seed would in good soil. And that by the Blood of Jesus, we clean every heart from whatever may be present within which would negatively affect the growth and prosperity of the Word of God in our lives in Jesus Name, Amen.
EPISODE 9: ALL WE DO IS WIN IN JESUS
Today’s
topic is one which I have been eager to write about for quite a while. When I learnt
about it, I literally jumped up and danced about in my room with such joy,
because it was so powerful and exciting at the same time. This topic is
basically about the relationship between Man, the earth, blood and God. In this
truth is the power to deliver people from depression, fear, sadness, anxiety,
poverty, insecurity, the self- state which man descended to when he fell and so
much more. This topic reveals another judgment of God on our behalf, which
cannot be rescinded or invalidated; nor can it be rendered inferior to any
other judgment by any man.
First
let us deal with the truth: that the earth is redeemed by the blood of Jesus,
just as we are. Remember we discussed about the unique relationship between man
and the earth, where we showed that the relationship was symbiotic in nature,
we also discussed earlier that the earth was cursed for the sake of man and
this curse produced four curses, which Zechariah described as four horns; and
these caused man great discomfort. Well let me share these scriptures that show
that the redemption was also unto the earth.
Isaiah 44: 23 – 26 “Sing, O ye
heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree
therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am
the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that
spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; That frustrateth the tokens of the liars,
and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their
knowledge foolish; That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the
counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited;
and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be
built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:”
Jeremiah 50:34 “Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his
name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of
Babylon.”
Some claim that redemption is
only for man and not for the earth. If this is so, on what basis would the
heavens, lower parts of the earth, mountains, forest and every tree be
rejoicing? Why did the scripture say that He may give rest to the land? Is it
not through redemption they also will be made new? Was it not foreseen by the
Apostle John that this heaven and earth will pass away?: “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” It is man that
put the earth in trouble in the first place – through Adam, and so it is o man
that has saved the earth – through Jesus.
When the blood of Jesus was
shed for our redemption, the earth actually received of the precious blood
first. How do we know this? It’s revealed in the story of Cain and Abel.
Genesis 4: 1 – 15 “ And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and
said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel.
And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in
process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground
an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his
flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his
offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was
very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou
wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be
accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall
be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his
brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up
against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is
Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he
said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from
the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth
to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it
shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond
shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is
greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face
of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a
vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth
me shall slay me. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain,
vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain,
lest any finding him should kill him.”
Both Cain and Abel brought
offerings to God. Cain’s offering was not accepted because he did not offer the
right thing. Abel’s sacrifice which was accepted gives a clue of what the right
offering is. Abel offered the firstlings of his flock – which means blood was
shed and the fat of the flock was offered to God. What Cain should have done
since he was a tiller of the ground and not a keeper of the flock, is to take
of the fruits of the ground, instead of offering it directly which he did, he
should have purchased firstling flock from his brother (or wherever) with these
fruits of his ground, and made the proper offering and then he would have been
accepted by God.
He did not; instead he became
angry, his countenance fell and eventually, he killed his brother. Now this is
where it gets interesting: after he had committed the act: “And the LORD said
unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my
brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
And now art thou cursed from the earth,
which hath opened her mouth to receive
thy brother's blood from thy hand”
Some things worthy of note happened
here: “the voice of Abel’s blood cried
unto God from the GROUND.” We see here a relationship between God, Man, the
Earth and Blood, wherein the blood cried (spoke) through the ground unto God
concerning the actions of Man (Abel).
Let’s go on: “the earth opened her mouth to receive the
blood of Abel” - it is worthy of note that the earth here is referred to as
an entity with a soul, is it not only a living soul that can receive?
Now looking steadfastly at
what Christ did for us on the Cross, it is written “…But one of the soldiers
with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
John 18:34”. This means the precious blood of Jesus flowed out of his side onto
the ground first, and we can say, that ‘the
earth opened her mouth to receive the blood of Jesus’ – just like it
received Abel’s blood.
I believe that the earth, on
receiving the blood of Jesus would have experienced the cleansing and purifying
and blessing abilities of the blood of Jesus. And the blood of Jesus which the
earth received removed the curse and instead blessed the earth, and as usual –
for man’s sake. Hence, my conclusion: that the earth was redeemed along with
and for our sakes. Hallelujah!!!
God the judge ruled the earth
‘redeemed’ as a judgment in our favor; and we win all the time because we have
a great lawyer in Jesus, who is the best at his job.
Now, let’s take a look at the
‘icing on the cake’, where see the advantage of the blood of Jesus, speaking to
God continuously on our behalf and to our advantage.
The actions of Cain opened
the door for the curse to come in unto him. Although, his actions were evil, he
did not sin, because there was no law at the time saying ‘thou shall not kill
thy brother’ (this is probably why God could still have a conversation with him
and eventually show him mercy). However, he had an accuser in the blood of Abel,
which must have screamed for justice unto God the Judge, hence the entrance of
the curse.
The same power of accusation
is what the devil used to get Job in all the mess he experienced. We know that
the devil is always the accuser of the brethren, and he accused us day and
night, in the presence of God. In both ‘ Abel versus Cain , and the devil
versus Job’ cases, there was no advocate to speak on their behalf, and to plead
their case. Jesus the High Priest, had not yet received the authority to plead
for the brethren.
Now our advantage as Christians
today is that our accuser before God, the devil, is cast down. See:
Rev 12:10 “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his
Christ: for the accuser of our brethren
is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night”
Although, people especially Christians
who do not know this, sometimes unknowingly take on the work of accusation, and
accuse their brethren before God. These are the ones Prophet Isiah described as
the ‘tongues that rise up against us in judgment”. They have forgotten that
Jesus says: judge not that ye not be judged. However, when they rise to judge anyone, Jesus sits at the very right hand of God as our High Priest, speaking to the Father on our behalf.
The curse which came upon
Cain because of the blood of Abel’s accusations was very serious in a manner of
speaking:
“When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto
thee her strength;” – This
meant Cain was going to be impoverished! The work of his hands will no longer
be productive –
“A fugitive and a Vagabond shalt thou be in the earth” – A Vagabond is someone
having no fixed living-place; habitually wandering; which figuratively means
someone who hasn’t identified his purpose for living and hasn’t taken
possession of his land (like the Israelites in the wilderness before they took
possession of the promised land) –
“Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the ‘face’ of the
earth; and from thy face shall I be hid”-
Cain himself testifies that
the punishment was greater than He could bear, the way things were, he was as
good as dead, but God showed him mercy and he placed a mark on him, to preserve
his life. Finally, one very important thing that we must note is that Abel
died, for Cain killed him, and so Cain alone bore the consequences of his
actions, nobody else was the curse upon.
Just as Abel’s voice was
heard by God; the voice of Jesus’ blood also cries unto God from the ground.
However, unlike Abel who was murdered, his life taken unwillingly away from
him, Jesus gave up his life willingly for us and in obedience to God.
Therefore, His blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel “And to Jesus the mediator of the new
covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that
speaketh better things than that of Abel. Heb 12: 24” Which means,
instead of the curse of Abel’s blood, we have the blessings in Jesus’ blood. We
must also note that the blood of Jesus speaking from the ground is a continuous
action – that is, as we speak the blood of Jesus is speaking blessings to God.
We must also note this, Jesus
died for the sins of the world; however, it is only to those who believe that
truly He died for their sins, that can access this blessing, for only Cain
received the curse (singly) for his actions. This means we (each individual)
must claim responsibility for Jesus’ death but with the knowledge that Jesus
chose to lay it down to take away our sin. If the curse was such that Cain said
“this punishment is greater than I can bear”; imagine the magnitude of impact
the blessing is to us.
Just in case we do not fully
understand the magnitude of the blood of Jesus speaking forth blessings on our
behalf, let me share a little bit about who Jesus is.
“And what is the exceeding greatness of His (God’s) power toward us
who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, Which He wrought in
Christ, when He (God) raised him (Jesus) from the dead, and set Him (Jesus) at
His (God) own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality,
and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in
this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under
his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is
his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1: 19 - 23
I don’t know about you, but
as for me, am super excited that I have the Most Powerful, speaking on my
behalf. One of the advantages is that we are well established upon the face of
the earth and the face of God is not hid from us who believe.
We can also be assured of our
prosperity, Jesus is continually telling God to bless of the work of our hands.
To those who have emotional
issues such as depression, anxiety, self- state, fear, anger, sadness and so
on, we must understand this judgment, especially when the battle of thoughts
begin in our minds: that the most important person you will ever need on this
earth, who will never forsake you or desert you, whose love for you is complete
and out of this world, God, is happy with you. He is saying: you are my Son in
whom I am well pleased. Not because of who you are or what you have done, but
because the blood of Jesus is speaking only good and pleasing things about you
to the father. I am sure you are as excited as I am by now. So, stand up and
declare to those dark thoughts, say: Get behind me satan, the blood of Jesus
speaks life to God on my behalf, I am covered by the blood of Jesus.
It is as if the blood of
Jesus is like an Insurance policy, only that its role is to keep you from
getting hurt, rather than the world’s policy, that can only help after you have
been hurt. No insurance company can assure you like the blood of Jesus can.
We must however take care
that the words we speak do not contrast and constrain that which the blood of
Jesus is speaking. Instead we must align our words, to ensure maximum impact,
for the words that we speak testify to what we believe. “I believe and therefore have I spoken”2 Cor 4: 13
Tomorrow, 17th November, 2016, we will discuss and study another judgment of God for us
