How to deal with harmful inheritances
An inheritance is something passed on to a person from a previous generation. On spiritual terms, an inheritance could be a blessing (healthy) or a curse (harmful). Nobody complains about the blessings that come from previous generations, in fact the bible says in Proverbs 13: 22A that "a good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children... "Also, we all know and sing about the Abrahamic Blessing which we are all partakers of through faith in Christ Jesus. The issue to be discussed today deals with the harmful inheritances which is popularly called "generational curses". Does it exist? Is it biblical? Yes. Exodus 20 vs 5 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
