RAISING OUR LAND (EPISODE 10: VICTORY OVER OUR ACCUSERS AND TROLLS)

RAISING OUR LAND
“Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage…”(emphasis mine)
Isiah 49 vs 8 (Hebrew Names Version of The Holy Bible)

Welcome to today’s episode.

I would like a hundred people or more to join me in praying this prayer, based on the scripture that says “And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. Lev 26:8” The enemies we need defeated in our lives presently are: the veil which may be over our eyes: as it prevents the light of God’s word to enlighten and be sown in our hearts; and those obstacles that prevent our hearts from being good soils. Our swords are our words of prayer.

Therefore, the prayer goes thus:
We pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: that our minds may be opened to see his light, so that we will know what is the hope to which he has called us.

We also pray that God should by His Holy Spirit prepare our hearts by making it a good soil for the word of God which when planted in our hearts will grow and prosper and yield forth good fruits just as a seed would in good soil. And that by the Blood of Jesus, we clean every heart from whatever may be present within which would negatively affect the growth and prosperity of the Word of God in our lives in Jesus Name, Amen.

EPISODE 10: VICTORY OVER ACCUSERS AND 'TROLLS'

Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Job 1: 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Luk 10:18  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Rev 12:7 - 11 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

There was a time when Satan had full access to God when he was Lucifer, son of the morning star. But it would seem that he got back access to God when man fell and gave him dominion over the earth. I believe that as in the case of Job 1: 6, he was taking the place of Man. But when Jesus came on the scene he prophesied the devils down fall in Luke 10: 18 and after de died for us, it is revealed in the book of revelations that he was defeated and overcome by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus), and by the word of their (the brethren) testimony.

Now, satan used his access to God, the Judge, before he was cast down by Jesus, to accuse the brethren. The word accuser in the greek is kat-ay'-gor-os which means one who is against one in the assembly, that is, a complainant at law; specifically Satan: - accuser.

When Jesus came to the earth, He came as the Son of God, meaning He had His seat already in the courts of Heaven. When satan tempted Jesus to make him sin, he did so he lay a charge on Jesus, but he failed miserably. Jesus, through his death, reconciled us to the father see:

Rom 5:10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Since we are now reconciled to the father we have now become the sons of the father. Like the father of the prodigal son, God has received us back to him with arms wide open, and lots of rejoicing and celebration. He has also restored unto us our rights as Son, with Jesus now being the first born, no longer Adam.

Luk 15:20 – 24 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Joh 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God

With this right, each and every one of us have the legal standing to be before God’s court to worship, praise, glorify and discuss with him.We should come to speak to our father of His business which He has placed in our hands – the earth. For God is the Entrepreneur of the earth: as the whole idea of creation belongs to him alone. Also, we are to come discuss and seek understanding of His laws and Judgments on the earth as He is the Judge of the earth; amongst other issues.

Unfortunately, most of us have been using our relationship with God and our seat in His court, to bring accusations against other people. Hence, most are ignorantly doing Satan’s work of accusation on his behalf. And this has exposed those who do this to condemnation, even as much as the curse. There is a Judgment of God that we must all take seriously, especially in this digital and specifically social media era that we are in. For God’s Judgment which is infallible is this:

Luke 6:37- 38 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Let me try to paint a scenario which is based on what I believe happens in the courts of Heaven when we bring an accusation against another person:

“When you as the accuser come before the Judge to accuse your neighbor, you present your evidence, call your witnesses, and argue your finer points, and in your final remarks, you say O great Judge, surely this proves that the accused is guilty and worthy of punishment, you sit back down, feeling cool with yourself, you are already probably winning your case. Then Jesus the advocate comes in to plead the case of the accused. He probably doesn’t say much, He goes to the Judge, shows Him His side that was pierced, the holes in his hands and feet from the nails that was through, the bruises on his back from the beatings, the scared marks on his head from the crown made of thorns, and then He says: My blood has paid for all the sins of the world, including the accused. The Judge, who is Just, doesn’t need to call recess, He rules immediately and the captive (the accused) is released from the hands of the mighty (the accuser).

There is more…

You the accuser, having lost the case, are packing your suitcase, solemnly, trying to fade away silently, you get to door, but the guard says you can’t leave, why you ask, the guard responds and says the Judge as said there is a judgment: that anyone who judges will be Judged; and anyone who condemns will be condemned. Since you have judged, it is time to Judge you too. And then you also are put on trial, evidences, witnesses are presented; of course you are found guilty, the sentencing of the Judge may be as tough as that which was upon Cain …

…but if you are humble, wise and repentant, you will quickly act upon the last part of the judgment: forgive and you will be forgiven.”

I understand that when we actually accuse and judge people, we are usually in pain, most likely hurt by action or inaction of that person, and we are seeking revenge for our souls. But, it really isn’t worth it, as we have seen, in fact it is more detrimental to us, then the wrong doer.

So what should we do when someone hurts us, accuses us or condemns us. I believe there are three things we should do.

1) Defend yourself: you defend yourself from the enemy’s attacks by speaking the word of faith in response to the attacker. This what Jesus did when the devil came to tempt him, even though the devil attacked him by quoting the scriptures inappropriately, Jesus’ responses were all scriptural, He would say: it is written . . . Read Matthew 4: 3 – 11. The Apostle Paul said:

Eph 6:11 & 16 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil… Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

This shield of faith is believing and speaking the word of God in faith.

I see this shield as like when in Sci-Fi movies like Starwars, Star Trek, Dark Matter etc, when the Space-Ships come under enemy attack, the first thing the crew will do is to raise up the shield to deflect the impact of the enemy’s weapons.

For instance, this scripture: nothing can separate me from the Love of God, is one I believe can defend attacks like guilt, shame, pain etc.

2) Forgive: This is perhaps one of the hardest things to do, to forgive someone who has caused you pain and grief, but it is the only way to deal with the situation properly. Jesus said:

Mark 11 vs 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

I believe that just as we receive forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of God’s grace; God also grants us the grace to forgive once we are determined to forgive someone of their trespasses.

Forgiving is the only way we can come to the father to pray.

3) Pray: Praying to God on the matter is where we receive healing from the pain caused. Only God can wipe away tears, only He can heal the broken hearted completely. When we are accused and condemned and hurt and threatened by people, we should act like the Apostles did, when John and Peter healed the lame man at the beautiful gate, they were arrested and threatened, when they were released this is what they did:

Act 4:23 – 31 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."

I believe we must go to God in prayer and not judging them, but just saying Lord, behold their threatening, or criticisms, or accusations, or condemnations, or wicked actions – and then we can ask that God should heal us and even restore us, we can even be as specific as the Apostles were, depending on what we are going through and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Apostles were probably following King Hezekiah when they prayed this prayer. During King Hezekiah’s reign, the King of Assyria attacked and laid siege of Judah, and this is what he boasted and threatened:

2Ki 18:29 - 36 “Thus says the king: Let not Hezekiah deceive you. For he will not be able to deliver you out of my hand. Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in and rely on the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of Assyria's king. Hearken not to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria: Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat every man from his own vine and fig tree and drink every man the waters of his own cistern, Until I come and take you away to a land like your own, a land of grain and vintage fruit, of bread and vineyards, of olive trees and honey, that you may live and not die. Do not listen to Hezekiah when he urges you, saying, The Lord will deliver us. Has any one of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad [in Syria]? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah [in the Euphrates Valley]? Have they delivered Samaria [Israel's capital] out of my hand? Who of all the gods of the countries has delivered his country out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? But the people were silent and answered him not a word, for Hezekiah had commanded, Do not answer him.”

Now this what King Hezekiah prayed, and we can also learn from this.

2Ki 19:14 - 20 Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. And he went up into the house of the Lord and spread it before the Lord. And Hezekiah prayed: O Lord, the God of Israel, Who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made the heavens and the earth. Lord, bow down Your ear and hear; Lord, open Your eyes and see; hear the words of Sennacherib which he has sent to mock, reproach, insult, and defy the living God. It is true, Lord, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste the nations and their lands And have cast the gods of those peoples into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. So they [could destroy and] have destroyed them. Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech You, save us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know and understand that You, O Lord, are God alone. Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Your prayer to Me about Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

When you read on you will see how God worked miraculously for Israel and defeated the King of Assyria without the Israelites lifting one weapon of war in battle. God fought their battle and was victorious. Isn’t this better than beginning a war of words with our enemies and condemning them by ourselves: especially on Twitter.

One important thing that I believe we must note is that one of the ways to pray effectively is to pray in the name of Jesus. Jesus will plead our case to the father as our Advocate and High Priest; but when it comes to prayer, we must do so by ourselves and in His name. See why:

Joh 16: 23 - 27 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

I have recently noticed a pattern that satan uses against us Christians to get us into condemnation. What he does is that he uses the social media sites to get a lot of Christians to accuse and judge people. He works through one person for instance, to do something really weird, wrong or plain evil, and when that news reaches people on social media platforms, people begin to judge. Meaning, satan uses one person to get thousands of Christians under condemnation. Let us always remember this:

Jud 1:9 “Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

We must be very careful these days, don’t be deceived, the enemy is not foolish, he may have lost the war to Jesus, but he would like to take as much people as he can, down with him. Please, the same principles that work for unbelievers on matters like this does not apply to us, we are the sons of God, and this is a huge responsibility.
