Riches in the world today is very important, but in the verses above God is telling us to choose Him and not be concerned about riches. Jesus is not wicked, he knows that one needs riches to purchase things, neither is He naive to make us think that all we have to do is not worry and riches will come. Rather He is teaching us here as we will see in subsequent verses things we can do that help us be confident about riches and thus we can easi...

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SAINT SINS A Sabbath rest remains, therefore, for God’s people. For the person who has  entered His rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from His. Let us  then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same  pattern of disobedience. Hebrews 4: 9 - 11 A Sabbath rest means a person has rested from their own works, and what does  that mean? It means the person is doing the work of God on the earth. This doesn’t  mean that a person doesn’t go to their normal everyday work, but rather the person goes with the mindset that his or her work is unto the Lord God Almighty.  Because God rested on the Sabbath day after creating the heavens and earth and all that is in it after 7 days by speaking it into existence. After which he formed man and gave man responsibility of the earth according to God’s instructions. Therefore, when God gave Adam and Eve in the bible the instructions, they were not their own...

The Good Conscience First time the word conscience is used according to the KJV Bible version is at John 8: 9 Joh 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst Some people were convicted by their own conscience, while trying to accuse a woman of committing adultery, in the hope of expecting Jesus to judge her guilty. His response caused these people to be convicted by their conscience and thus they all left. It is interesting to note the  order with which the people left, from the eldest to the youngest. Youngest meaning young but old enough to understand what adultery means without which there is no basis for accusation. All left based on the level of consciousness of sin, from the eldest because they had more knowledge of their sins as time passed by to the youngest. Jesus, the perfecter of our faith Heb 11:39 These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith,  didn't receive the promise,  Heb 11:40 God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that  apart from us they should not be made perfect. While it is the right thing to do to forgive, it is important to also understand that it is also good to allow God help you get away from serial offenders. Ask God for help to take you out of any abusive relationships you may find yourself in. Even Jesus during his walk on earth kept himself. He surrounded himself with people he could trust (Peter, John, James) were his closest friends. As God is taking you out of wrong relationships ask him to bring you into the right and blissful relationships.

Dear aspiring Minister of God, don't leave that job just yet to face full time ministry. The Justice of Mercy (Reloaded) In the previous article, we dealt with the subject of Justice as it related to mercy. We studied how that it took the mercy of God and the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ to pay for the sins of all the ungodly. We discussed the effect of Adam's sin on humanity and how it is that the people of the world became ungodly because of his act. We also learnt how that we have become not only justified (free from blame) in Christ but we have also become sanctified (unable to sin) in Christ. This was achieved solely by our belief in the cross and not by any works of goodness that we have done. This is not to say that works of goodness are not essential, only that they cannot buy us salvation because the sin of Adam is not a debt that we can pay; only Christ being the second Adam could pay it, and indeed, he paid it. However receiving this gift of salvation comes by believing. Also, the fact that we have received salvation doesn't mean ultimately that...
