While it is the right thing to do to forgive, it is important to also understand that it is also good to allow God help you get away from serial offenders.

Ask God for help to take you out of any abusive relationships you may find yourself in. Even Jesus during his walk on earth kept himself. He surrounded himself with people he could trust (Peter, John, James) were his closest friends. As God is taking you out of wrong relationships ask him to bring you into the right and blissful relationships.

I have often asked myself the question of why Israel is still blessed despite there being a new covenant. The Old Covenant is the Jewish Covenant rooted in Moses, the servant of God. The New Covenant is also a Jewish Covenant but rooted in Jesus, the Son of God. The New Covenant supersedes the old Covenant in all ramifications.   Acts 8: 39 – 40 When they came up out of the water, t he Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; the eunuch saw him no more, and went his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he was passing through the region, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caeserea. Let us pray. Growing up, I always believed that the gifts of the Spirit were more than the 9 that the Apostle Paul by inspiration listed in the book of 1 corinthians chapter 12.
