The blessing of Abraham?
John 8: 56 - 59 Your ancestor Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day; he saw it and was glad ". Then the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "very truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am." So, they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
The Lord said to me, "Don't follow some of your fathers in the faith and try so hard to be a Jew. You are not a Jew; you are a Christian!"
Again, The Lord is saying to me, "Stop saying the blessing of Abraham is mine" instead start saying "I receive my portion of the blessing of Jesus, the Last Adam, the root of Abraham".
The Last Adam because all the blessings upon the first Adam that was lost to Him when he sinned is given to Jesus, the Last Adam!
1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
...
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Also, all this while, we have been focused on saying the blessing of Abraham is mine, but that blessing passed to Jesus, his seed! There is no comparing Jesus' life to Abraham's in the bible. It is clear who manifested the blessing the most.
In fact, Jesus said in Revelation 22 verse 16
"I Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star"
In the headline verse above Jesus was trying to tell the Jews, I am as well the root of Abraham, He said "before Abraham was I am."
The blessing had always belonged to him from the beginning.
Jesus is the one of whom the Apostle John wrote, "... I write to you Fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning."
Infact, He was the one that pronounced the said blessing on Abraham because He is from BEFORE the foundation of the world.
John wrote again "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life and that life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it... John 1: 1 - 5
And again:
Joh_17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
And Again Apostle Peter Corroborates:
1Pe 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
I know the saying 'the blessing of Abraham' was passed down from generations past, but we are to move glory to glory. selah. Now, we must say and keep saying, I receive my portion of the blessing of Jesus, the last Adam, the root of Abraham.
Why portion and not everything? because:
Mat_25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Emphasis on "inherit the kingdom prepared for you! There is that blessing which is prepared for you and you alone!
As long as you are one of the Sheep of his pasture, you have a portion in the blessing. Who are His Sheep? DIGEST THIS!
Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
I will end this article saying that Jesus is already sitting upon His throne of glory, separating Sheep from Goat and delivering inheritances that are forever secured in Him. Go get yours, NOW!
