The Order of Things

If ever you have doubted about Jesus’ supremacy over Satan, read the accounts of Jesus’ interactions with Satan in the Bible.

Luk 4:1  And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Luk 4:2  Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

Luk 4:3  And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

Luk 4:4  And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Luk 4:5  And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Luk 4:6  And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Luk 4:7  If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Luk 4:8  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Luk 4:9  And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

Luk 4:10  For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

Luk 4:11  And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Luk 4:12  And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Luk 4:13  And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Never ever will you find Jesus calling Satan, ‘Lord’.  In the natural order of things, when Jesus walked the Earth – before He died as the Lamb of God, Satan was the god of this world having wrestled power out of Adam’s hand. Therefore, in the order of things Jesus should call Satan Lord or command Satan in the name of the Most High God.

Jude 6: And the angels who did not keep their own position, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deepest darkness for the judgement of the great day.

Jude 8 - 9: Yet in the same way these dreamers also defile the flesh, reject authority and slander glorious ones. But when the Archangel Michael contended with the devil and disputed about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring a condemnation of slander against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

The Archangel Michael was not superior in authority to the devil when he disputed the body of Moses, so the Archangel had to say to Satan, the Lord rebuke you – using the name of the Lord.

But, when we read the texts, we see that Jesus commanded Satan and his demons, this is because Jesus was the highest authority, when He walked the earth. Even the demons called Him, the Son of the Most High God.

Mar 5:6  But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

Mar 5:7  And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

Mar 5:8  For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

In the order of things, as Christians, we have a higher authority over Satan and the devils. But because God has placed everything under the feet of Jesus, we access that authority through Jesus.

Hebrews 2: 5 – 18 NRSV

Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels. But someone has testified somewhere, “What are human beings that you are mindful of them, or mortals, that you care for them? You have made them for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned them with glory and honor, subjecting all things under their feet.” Now in subjecting all things to them, God left nothing outside their control. As it is, we do not yet see everything in subjection to them, but we do see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.  For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have one Father. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters, saying, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters, in the midst of the congregation I will praise you.”

And again “I will put my trust in him.”

And again, “Here am I and the children whom God has given me.”

Since, therefore, the children share flesh and blood, he himself likewise shared the same things, so that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death. For it is clear that he did not come to help angels, but the descendants of Abraham. Therefore he had become like his brothers and sistersin every respect, so that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself was tested by what he suffered, he is also able to help those who are being tested.

In the great commission recorded in Mark 16. Jesus established the order of things, whatever we are to do for the Kingdom of God or against the Kingdom of Darkness, we do in His name.

Mar 16:14  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mar 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Mar 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Satan does not operate in the order of things, else He would have called Jesus, Lord. Not to talk of the order of things with a Christian, we will always have to say No! Satan, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, you have no authority over me again! Jesus, Son of the Most High God alone has authority over my spirit, mind and body as it is written in 1 Cor 6 19 - 20 "You know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God, don't you? You do not belong to yourselves, because you were bought for a price. Therefore, glorify God with your bodies."

In the season of the night, treachery and deceit is plenty. We must be wary that we are truly walking the paths that Jesus chose for us. Some of the foul spirits are wise enough to not call themselves the Christ, but they sure can come pretending to be servants of Christ. Question anyone that performs miracles or healings outside the name of Jesus.

2Co 11:12  But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

2Co 11:13  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2Co 11:14  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

2Co 11:15  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

You notice how the bible does not say, some will come claiming to be God the Father. This is because in the order of the Trinity, Jesus is the interface between man and God. If a Christian is to lose access to God, it is because that one has stopped focusing or believing on Jesus and is now focusing on someone else. Jesus is the Door.

Joh 10:1  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Joh 10:2  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

Joh 10:3  To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

Joh 10:4  And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Joh 10:5  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Joh 10:6  This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

Joh 10:7  Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Joh 10:8  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Joh 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

I am learning that in the time of prayer, it is best to not jump the order that God has placed. We must go to Jesus to make our requests, and then we give all the glory and honour of the answered prayer to God the Father. The role of the Holy Spirit is also not to receive our requests, He is the one that mid-wife’s our relationship with Jesus.

A person cannot receive the Holy Spirit without Jesus giving him. If it is truly the Holy Spirit that is in a person, He will always testify of Jesus.

Jesus wants us to keep His commandments and not only that, we should recognize him as the Son of God - Twice God called Him his beloved Son and to fellowship with Him as one would a Father or a Brother.

Jesus is the last Adam (1 Cor 15: 22, 45). This statement means a lot as well. God put everything concerning the earth in the hands of the first Adam, but He lost the authority over the earth to Satan. Jesus got all that authority back from Satan, when he paid the price for our sin. The intricacy here is that Satan is the god of the earth to that person that is yet to believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. As a Christian, Satan is not the god of this earth to you. Understanding this lies the true authority of the Christian. But God made sure to put it all in the hands of Jesus, because this time Satan cannot wrestle control over the earth from Jesus, who is Lord over him.

So God put all things under Jesus’ feet, and so when we need anything at all, we talk to Jesus to get it for us.

For instance, when Adam sinned God cursed the woman and the earth. The two entities that man cannot live without.

Gen 3:16  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Gen 3:17  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Gen 3:18  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Gen 3:19  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

In Christ’s reign the woman and the Earth are no longer cursed for the Christian. In the place of all this sorrow and tears from the earth, Jesus came first as the comforter when He walked the earth - When He needed bread, it was supplied and He multiplied it. When Fish was needed, His disciples caught net-breaking amount of fish. When he needed money to pay tax, it was supplied to Him from the mouth of a fish. Jesus did not sweat to eat bread. The earth was bountiful for Him. The earth is bountiful for us as well who believe and who have the Holy Spirit - who is our comforter. It is when we believe this that Jesus teaches us the principles of the Kingdom of God in terms of prosperity including Working, excellence, innovation, resilience, persistence and so on.

This means also that the woman that believes that the curse is done away with, need not sorrow in conception or child birth. Her desire shall be to God first and God will have rule over her. Which means her submission to her husband will come from a place of obedience to God and not as a result of a curse.

All that’s left for some is to say “I don’t believe in the bible”, and to that I will say the bible is the most technical and intelligent book out there (let us leave out the spirituality aspect), if it is produced by the imagination of someone or some people, then the author(s) should be worshiped.

I pray in the name of Jesus of Nazareth that we will have a perfect relationship with Jesus and not be beguiled by any false prophet or doctrine; and we will be taught the order of things by Jesus himself.
