What we must meditate on daily!


Anytime the Bible talks about something twice, I pay even closer attention. One of such times is what God says on meditation, specifically what we should meditate on. 


Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Psalms 1:2-3  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 

Both verses of scripture tells us to meditate on the law of the Lord. Jesus summarized the Law into these 2.

Matthew 22:37-40  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

So in essence we should meditate on how we can love God and love our neighbour's as ourselves.

Walking in love towards all is how innovation is birth. A person walking in love will always want to solve problems, and this is how ingenious products and services are created, more often than not accompanied with financial bliss. 

This is also prescribed twice daily, in the day and in the night. Or meditate on these when things are going great (day season) and when things are not going great (night season) .

There is a promise of prosperity attached to meditating on the right things, the law, and God is always faithful to His word.

Balance

  Acts 8: 39 – 40 When they came up out of the water, t he Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; the eunuch saw him no more, and went his way rejoicing.
