Stop Cheating on God 😭

Image
I always say the Apostle John is my favorite of all the Apostles. One of the things I have learnt from him is his loyalty to Jesus. Apostle John like all the disciples, slept throughout the period of great stress for Jesus at the garden of Gethsemane. But guess who didn't run away and was at the foot of the cross before Jesus died. Yep! John. Jesus trusted the Apostle John with His mother above all others. That's saying a lot! So, when Apostle John warns us, we must listen and act accordingly: 1Jn 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. If there is any law for the new covenanter, this is it. Keep yourselves from idols. This law is not new to those of the old covenant, it is the first law in the 10 commandments God gave to Moses. Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying, Exo 20:2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. We must take some time to un...

The New Frontier

Image
I have often asked myself the question of why Israel is still blessed despite there being a new covenant. The Old Covenant is the Jewish Covenant rooted in Moses, the servant of God. The New Covenant is also a Jewish Covenant but rooted in Jesus, the Son of God. The New Covenant supersedes the old Covenant in all ramifications. Yet, the people of Israel who practice the old still prospers.  A little background: My Calling is simple. The Lord told me many years ago, "What I say in your ears, shout on the roof tops." I can't say that I have been completely obedient, but His grace has never once given up on me. So, I can humbly say that I downloaded/heard this first and then I proceeded to confirm it in the Bible and now am shouting it on the rooftop, you get? Shall we then... Gen 48:14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, crossing his hands; for Manasseh was the firstb...

FAQ on Hebrews 10: 26 - 29

Image
I am one of those Social Media users that just scroll and scroll other people's contents, and rarely like, share or comment. And on many of such internet journeys, I have come across this portion of scripture being used as a tool to whip Christians who have not yet overcome their temptations and are prone to sin, into proper (supposedly) godly shape. Heb 10: 26 - 29 Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  Heb 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spi...

Isildur's Sword

Isa_42:22  But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. None saith Restore! None Saith Restore!! None saith RESTORE!!! Yes, I and I have messed up, and we have gone up to the throne of grace to receive mercy. We have learned and do experience the efficacy of the blood and water of the Lamb, which is able to ensure the forgiveness of our sins and the purification of our souls respectively, and we are seated at the right hand of the Father. I and I (bear with me have been listening to some goodly root rock reggae of recent) also know that Jesus isn't counting scores as humans do, ... I forgave you once, twice and now am done says the typical human. Jesus says come and keep coming until you don't need to come anymore because you have overcome. The headline verse shows people robbed, spoiled, snared, imprisoned and preyed upon wheth...

The Move of the spirit

Image
No disclaimers today. Imagine that the book of Genesis in the bible started this way. In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form, and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. AND GOD WAS DISCOURAGED AND GAVE UP.  We won't be here today. So God created the Heavens and the earth. And the initial result was this: the earth was without form, void and dark . In other words, the earth looked like an unsuccessful project. But God did not give up, instead it is recorded in Genesis 1 verse 2 that His Spirit moved upon the face of the waters.  That Move of His Spirit was the defining moment. And since we were created in His image and in His Likeness, our spirit can also MOVE. Personally, I used to have the inclination that my born again spirit is different from the Spirit of God, This is however not accurate! My regenerated spirit is the same with the Spirit of God. This is the miracle of the New Birth. Joh 3:1  There was a...

The Weightier Things

The Weightier Things What you are afraid of already has power over you!  Disclaimer: This is Ladi's diary. Read with an open mind. Question everything. Sin must no longer be feared. Rather, only God should be feared, whether reverentially or trepidatiously! I understand the fear most people have about sin, it is usually an inroad for Satan into a person’s life. It has been preached that sin is what pierced the protective armor of Job. But when you read the book of Job carefully, if at all it was sin, it is God’s sin, because He bragged about the perfection of a mere man – “ Job 1:8   And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” But then again, God cannot sin, and blaming God would be missing the entire point of the book of Job: that there is no perfect man outside the covering of the grace and truth of God. So the next man God bragged...

Things for Peace

Hi, This is a page from my diary, treat with care, restraint and constraint. Luk 19:41  And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  Luk 19:42  Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  Luk 19:43  For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  Luk 19:44  And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.    I can understand if this statement sounds selfish to you, but the bible is meant for Christians and Christians alone. I will tell you why! The bible is essentially divided into two (in terms of Covenants), the old Covenant(s) and the new covenant. The old Covenants, yes plural,...
