Seizing the moment! I admit I have been naughty. I had a burden to write this article, but I argued that it is better to already have at least one Maybach (you know what I mean), before writing about the subject of finances. So, I moaned and ran like Jonah, but the burden has not lifted. I prayed about it following the principles of importunity. I felt my request was very emotionally intelligent - after all I was only asking for my portion, and no one else's - and not long God responded. And his words were, "doesn't your request sound familiar to you". As how? I wondered.   Restoration or A Pound of Flesh In the past, when I thought of restoration, I thought of it has God returning something (physical) that I have lost. But God is saying I restore souls (Psalms 23:3 He restores my soul.) as well. Many people go about with wounds, especially more emotional than physical ones. This is because humans tend to injure other humans emotionally, whether knowingly or unknowingly. In any relationship whether filial, or romantic or even platonic, people injure people emotionally a lot.  So, when folks like Ladi start writing things like Jesus said you should forgive those that hurt you, they say in their mind, this one doesn’t know anything at all about life.   A Medley for Salvation The subject of righteousness and mercy is one that generates a lot of questions. In this article, we would dissect the Apostle Paul's assertions on the Righteousness of God versus the Law of Righteousness.  Rom 10:1  Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for Israel is for their salvation.  Rom 10:2  For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to accurate knowledge.   Mercy Me! We have learnt in a previous article that we are all gods, Christians and non. But our ‘godship’ is not complete because we cannot live forever. We need the tree of life to achieve this, and it is available only with Jesus. We have also learnt that God pours his grace, like rain, on everybody. But he reserves his Truth for the ones who are in Christ, for Jesus himself is Truth. Now, we will learn how that righteousness (meaning right standing with God) has been paid for by God through Jesus His Son, for the whole world.
