Re-introducing Aletheia

Using the King James Version as a standard, it is recorded that the first time the word 'Grace' is mentioned in the New Testament, was in the gospel according to Saint Luke. Luk_2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom : and the grace of God was upon him. He was discussing Jesus as a child, stating that the grace of God was upon him. And we see that the manifestation of grace was 1)  growth, 2) strong in spirit and 3) full of wisdom. Here we see an unboxing of what grace factually is. A person with the grace of God upon is neither stagnant nor retrogressive, but progressive - growing and marching forward in all areas. The person's spirit is strong. A strong spirit is able to execute the will of God on earth as it is in heaven. A strong spirit is not broken by the enemy's (Satan) wiles and attacks. The person is also filled with the wisdom that comes from above. We all know the importance of God's wisdom. May all these three evidences ...

An Overcomer's Class

Jesus said in a revelation to our favorite Apostle Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches ; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.   Jesus was talking to the churches, which means he was talking to groups of people, who fellowshipped together, who had received his forgiveness, received his righteousness and were reconciled to God. And it is interesting that like pupils, Jesus was marking their life 'scripts', noting their faults and giving them 'corrections'.  I was thinking, if the Christian during that early period had faults that Jesus identified, does that mean that the possibility of pleasing God in our thoughts, words and deeds, at every moment, is an impossible ask? O r should we even not bother about 'perfection', after-all, if we are the righteousness of God in Christ, and if we are blood washed, we should be perfect automatically. Before I...

Without trying to be mysterious I will tell you who the loneliest woman in the Bible was, the woman with the issue of blood. Mar 5:21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.  Mar 5:22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,  Mar 5:23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.  Mar 5:24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.  Mar 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,  Mar 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,  Mar 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and ...

Abiding in Christ Jesus

During the invasion of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar took some of the people of Israel hostage and others he left to be vine dressers of the then ruins of Israel. His chief commander, Nebuzaradan placed Gedaliah as the Governor of the Land. But afterwards there was an insurrection by Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the royal family, which resulted in the death of Gedaliah. Ishmael took all the remnants captive and was about to take them to Baalis king of the Ammonites, when Johanan son Kareah came against him and took away all the remnants from his possession. (Summary of Jeremiah 40 and 41) Now Johanan approached the Prophet Jeremiah and said... Jeremiah 42:2 - 3 "Be good enough to listen to our plea and pray to the LORD your God for us - for all this remnant. For there are only a few of us left out of many, as your eyes can see. Let the LORD your God show us where we should go and what we should do." This is the right approach when we are facing a difficult situation ...
